Symptoms were turn signals coming on but not flashing, or sometimes failing to come on. The latter more often on the right. Original flasher would click once on turn sign on, and sometime buzz briefly as right side was turned off. Ensured grey wire was on load side, no change. Tried out a known good thermostatic flasher and got no lights at all. That puzzled me, I expected slow flash or lights on no flash. Still puzzles me really. Replaced with a heavy duty automotive flasher, pic attached, perfect function restored. The old flasher.
Screws going in to plastic should never be tightened by a farsighted 1200Lb silverback gorilla. Wasn't me, I'm a nearsighted 215Lb grease monkey! More power is good. We all like more power. But more power requires more heat dispersal, which did not happen. That, or someone got lazy and tossed in a bulb that fit without considering the wattage. Bonus custom bolt was a bonus, until it was badly drilled off center. More to come, as other SNAFUs are found. 🙈
